Spring mitten style
Rain, the dandelions stand tall done with their yellow to white blow me stages. The dicentra are blooming their hearts out… while ferns are building strength. The sky is gray gray to the west. An entire day of gray. I hope that the Bullet has not taken water on board. Bummer to drive back home with a wet seat or a wet bod for that matter. It has happened.
Last night I made fajitas. I used to cook for four with a bent towards enough left overs for lunches, then I cooked for three, and finally I began cooking for two again, with a light hand at leftovers for lunches. The Neen is back in the house, he eats too, so I am retooling my portions skills. There were no leftovers for lunch, again.
I cooked and talked to the Neenster about Italy, and food, and cooking. He does tube for a minute and then comes back into hang out and then back to more tube. Pop floats in and does his mail, feed dog, eat corn chips and Pace salsa while reading the newspaper routine. It is a ritual.
I got a package in the mail of spin me bats, two “long wool” blends and a Shetland. I am looking forward to the Perendale pencil roving that is to come. I plied up two small balls of my red merino. Three more to go. Plying on the borrowed Louet, I ponder the differences between it and the borrowed Majacraft Gem. The Gem makes me feel like a hamster. So far I l o v e the delta oriface. I don’t like the sliding rings, tho I think I figured that problem out, so maybe I do like the adjustable aspect. What wheels do I covet? Rose, Millie, Matchless and Journey. I really do not know what I want. I just want to walk into a joint loaded with wheels, drive a couple and then go home with one. Pretty simple that.
